What is a Commission Partner?
A commission partner is an external party (e.g. hotel or sales agent) that can offer your rental services and earn a commission. Commission partners can receive a unique booking link that can be placed on their website and they can also get restricted access to the backend system so they can view their own bookings and commissions. It's a great way to work with partners and grow revenue.
Alternatively, commission partners can be a vehicle owner who earns a commission every time his/her vehicle is used for a rental. In this case, the commission partner needs to be linked to the vehicle. Scroll down for exact instructions.
Commissions Module Structures
There are two ways to configure commissions in the system. The difference depends on who receives the payment from the renter.
1️⃣ Commission-based Commission Module
Flow: The renter pays the rental company. The rental company then pays a commission to the Commission Partner.
Example:
Use this structure when the rental company collects all reservation payments directly.
2️⃣ Invoice-based Commission Module
Flow: The renter pays the Commission Partner. The Commission Partner keeps their commission, and the rental company invoices the partner for the remainder.
Example:
Use this structure when the Commission Partner collects payments from the renter.

When using the booking link of an invoice-based commission partner, the pricing is the rack rate minus the commission amount. With the example above, the pricing shown on the booking process is 90 USD.

After the module is enabled, you can navigate to the main menu, and you will notice that two extra tabs “Commissions” and “Commission Partners” have appeared as shown in the picture below highlighted in red.
Step 1
Navigate to Car Rental → Commission Partners and click on the blue “Add Commission Partner” button on the top right of the page highlighted in red in the picture below.
