This feature allows you to increase the amount of an authorization transaction after it has been processed without the need for the customer's presence or card.

Availability

• You can only use them with Visa, Mastercard, or Discover.
• Each card brand has category restrictions.
• You can only increment a transaction made with a Stripe Terminal (POS) and the reader must be fully online. Stripe Terminal includes Tap to Pay.
• There’s a maximum of 10 attempts per payment.

This feature must be enabled from your HQ account. You can easily do so by navigating to Settings → Payment Gateways → Select the Stripe Terminal adapter

On the settings page find the option Allow Capture for Higher Amounts than Authorized marked in the image below.

Set the option to Yes and click on the blue Save button to apply the changes.
