To remove a vehicle from the fleet, its status must be changed to "Sold." Vehicles with the "Sold" status will no longer be part of the available fleet. This method is used because the system does not support deleting vehicles with related data, such as previous reservations.
Before changing the status of a vehicle, ensure it is not currently rented in a reservation.
To remove a vehicle from the fleet follow these steps:
Step 1
Navigate to Fleet → Vehicles and select the vehicle you would like to remove from your fleet.
Step 2
In the “Status” field, select “Sold”. Then, make sure to fill in the “Vehicle Entry Date” and “Vehicle Exit Date” fields, as these are used to calculate the number of vehicles in the fleet for certain reports, such as Monthly Overview and Location Performance. Finally, click Save at the bottom of the screen to apply the changes.
Step 3
After processing this action, you can verify that the removed unit is no longer part of the fleet and will not appear in the Vehicles table.
