Split Billing lets you send part of a reservation's bill to a business, such as an insurance company, an employer or a travel agency, while the renter pays the rest.

You decide, charge by charge, how much the business pays. HQ works out the renter's part, taxes included, and creates one invoice per business for all its rentals.

How Split Billing Works

Every reservation has a renter, the customer on the reservation. With Split Billing you can add one or more Extra Billers: businesses that pay part of the reservation.

Example

An insurance company covers a replacement car. It pays $400 of the rental days and half of the GPS. The renter pays the rest.

Charge Price Insurance company Renter
Rental days $700 $400 $300
Extension (2 extra days) $150 $0 $150
GPS $100 50% ($50) $50
Fuel and tolls $95 $0 $95
Sales tax (10%) $104.50 $45 $59.50
Total $1,149.50 $495 $654.50
