This article is a step by step breakdown on how to change the current Vehicle Class of a vehicle. Please note that if the vehicle is assigned to a reservation, or there are confirmed open bookings for the class of the vehicle, then the system will not allow the change by default.
Navigate from the main menu to Fleet → Vehicles → and select the vehicle you would like to update the vehicle class for.
Then, click on the vehicle class field and select the desired class. Finally, make sure you scroll down and click Save to apply the changes. If you are not able to see a drop-down field for the vehicle class please read the following section.
Vehicles on Rental status cannot be changed as shown below
If you are not able to see a drop-down field for the vehicle class, then the vehicle or its class has reservations assigned.
In order to be able to modify vehicles with this condition you must first Navigate to Settings → Fleet Settings → General Settings section, and there enable the “Vehicle Class can be Changed if the Vehicle Has Reservations?” option.
