What is Delivery Location?

As a car rental company, your branches define separate pools of available vehicles (fleet and availability).

If your locations are far apart (e.g., separate cities), you can enable Availability Per Location to treat each location's fleet availability as a separate, independent pool.

The Delivery Location functionality is an advanced feature that allows you to logically group the availability of vehicles between certain locations, even when Availability Per Location is active.

This is useful for grouping closely-related locations under a main office:

Location Type	Example	Availability Impact
Parent Location	City A Main Office	The main physical location where the vehicles are parked, and where the Availability Pool is actually managed.
Child/Delivery Location	City A Airport, City A Central Hotel, Delivery Point in City A	The satellite locations where a car can be delivered or collected. These locations draw vehicles from the Parent Location's availability pool.

Before Starting

To use the Delivery Location feature, the following prerequisites must be met and configured:

[ ] **Availability Per Location Enabled:** delivery locations can only be enabled if your system has availability per location enabled.
[ ] No Show to be Configured: Proper "No Show" policies and fees must be defined for your locations to handle uncollected rentals consistently, as this affects the final availability counts.
[ ] Automatic Vehicle Assignment to be Enabled: The system relies on the automated logic for assigning a specific vehicle from the Parent Location's pool to a booking made at a Child/Delivery Location.
[ ] All Restrictions Applicable to Availability Per Location Apply: Any existing configuration rules, such as incompatibility with one-way rentals, future vehicle relocations, and custom locations, will inherently apply.
